Why to Subscribe to
My Substack in 2024

New things ahead…

We are nearing the end of the year, and I want to give y’all a sneak peek at what is coming next year, so that you have time to upgrade your subscription.

For less than the cost of one latte a month, you can become a paying subscriber to receive all the emails I send.

Benefits for Paying Subscribers

On Mondays, I send a “Contemplative THREADS” post, where I write about contemplative action. This email is for paying subscribers. In it, the email includes a written post, a song, a somatic exercise, and an image.

Now that I am a full-time pastor, I’ll have more time to focus on my writing. On Sundays, I’ll be sending my sermon texts to subscribers only. I won’t be traveling as much, so I’ll have more time to write and develop my ideas. I will be rooting into my thinking in such a way that I’ll have more to share. Your generosity will help me stay invested in the areas of my vocation that are most urgent right now.

I’m also going to do a month-long “Theologies of Liberation” class, which will include video. And, every 5th Sunday, you’ll be invited to the book nook to discuss what I am reading, and to learn what y’all are reading!

I’d like to start convening my subscribers on a regular basis. I’m considering doing a Zoom meeting with my subscribers to talk about what’s happening in the world, and to invite them into a deeper conversation about our collective becoming. We need to build a sustainable container for conversations and community. We need to build resilience during this time, so let me know if this is something that would interest you. Will you join me and give up at least one latte a month?

Options

You have options for joining Our Collective Becoming. You can pay monthly $5, or pay $50 annually, or for $210 annually, you can become a Founding Member, which I call ‘Cultivating Member,’ so that I can gift subscriptions. If you become a Founding Member, I’ll be hosting a quarterly Zoom call for you so that we can brainstorm about how to build capacity and invite more people to join!

I hope you will join me in this next phase of Our Collective Becoming as we endeavor to suture the wounds of the world with relationships and sustainable bridges that bring heaven to earth!

Onward,
Dr. Roberto Che Espinoza.

P.S. I’ve been working with TidyCo Creative to help me with creative design and content. They have been so helpful in helping me imagine how to do this work of theology in the world. If you need a thought partner for your own work, you might be interested in connecting with TidyCo Creative! TidyCo is helping me implement a sustainable schedule as I endeavor to live out my call and vocation as a theologian. Having been very public about theology and traveling the world, I have needed help along the way. Kristen and Sarey came to my rescue, and I am so grateful for them! Now, they are helping me hone my vocational skills and root into community in new and exciting ways.
